Changes
I’ve been making some changes to the site. For most of the existence of “Version 3,” I’ve used it as a “datamine”—that is a link collector where I could store links to things I found interesting or useful. However, there’s a website that specializes in that sort of thing, called Del.icio.us, which has some features and things that make it easier. So I’m going to be doing my link aggregating there from now on. On the sidebar of this site there’s now a del.icio.us block, with whatever I’ve been posting there recently. There’s also an rss feed and LiveJournal feed should anyone be interested in aggregating that.
So, what am I going to be doing with this site? For now I’m just going to post thoughts and ruminations about whatever I’m working on or reading about, or just whatever crosses my mind. In other words, it’s going to be a proper blog again. How frequently I’ll be able to update it, I don’t know, but in this age of RSS readers I’m not sure how much that matters. I’ve also updated the site to version 2.5 of WordPress, which makes some things easier for me, even though you all shouldn’t see much of a difference.
